AXE Hair is partnering with Wounded Warrior Project!

I was contacted this week by AXE to help them get the word out that they are partnering with the Wounded Warrior Project and donating $50,000 to them!!

Their full press release can be found HERE. Here's just a piece of it:
"... AXE Hair is [...] partnering with Wounded Warrior Project and introducing AXE Buzzed Look Cream + SPF 15, its newest styling product. As part of the debut, AXE Hair is making a donation of $50,000 to the non-profit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.

The buzz cut, a classic military look that's made a pop-culture comeback, presents a unique challenge to guys looking to protect their scalp without the oily, greasy feel that a traditional sunscreen can leave. AXE Buzzed Look is a lightweight cream which protects guys' scalps from UVA/UVB rays and keeps hair soft and touchable."

AXE Hair sent Joe a sample of the new AXE Buzzed Look cream. I personally think it's a great idea! We all know the guys are required to have these hair cuts. When they are in uniform and outside, they have to wear their head gear. But what about when they go to the lake on the weekends? I've seen far too many Soldiers with sunburns on the top of their heads. In fact, just the other day, Joe and I spent the whole day at zoo and the very top of his head got very pink. When we got home, the sample of AXE Buzzed Look cream had arrived. "Suncreen for your head, what a good idea." It was a little too late for Joe though. :)

Check out the AXE Facebook page and watch their fun video to learn more about their product and what they are doing to team up with Wounded Warrior Project!!

What they are doing is wonderful!

Not only does my husband have a buzz cut but so does my son. He wants to look just like daddy.

I am strict about my 5 year old wearing sunscreen but other than using a hat havent found a good way to put sunscreen in his hair. This is such an amazing product. I am going to try it for him and see how we like it.

Thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. This will help me not feel so worried about him burning the top of his head.
