@tellthemthanks

I posted a blog earlier about a GREAT writing group called Tell Them Thanks (or T3 for short)http://welcometotheblogofanarmywife.blogspot.com/2009/06/tell-them-thanks.html. I have been part of this group for a really long time (even when they were under a different name). I have written to a few deployed servicemen and I am always looking for ways to spread the word.

Fairly recently, I have found a new movement on Twitter. Mixed in with all of the little kids and crazy teens tweeting about rubbish, there's a very special group of people making sure the military has a voice, supporters, and hope from back home. We come from all walks of life. We are servicemen and women. We are spouses. We are mothers and fathers. We are military brats. We are foundations and groups making sure our brave men and women have support from everywhere.

So I thought... why not T3 on Twitter? So after posing the question to the lords and ladies of T3, they told me that I could start a T3 account on Twitter to spread the word about this great writing organization. I am always hearing about the servicemen and women that they need "thankers" for. I have one from them. And three from just everyday Army wife life. I would love to take on more, but I know that the others would suffer. So here's my plee to everyone reading this. Please sign up at http://www.tellthemthanks.com/ and adopt a deployed serviceman. They all deserve a little bit more support from home. It's amazing to hear from them about what a simple letter and a picture of a dog can do for their day.

This has nothing to do with politics or religion. This is about not repeating history and making sure all of our sons and daughters, mothers and fathers, husbands and wives, know they are cared about and wished the BEST anyone could ever hope for.
