Friday Fill-In

Are you participating in the Friday Fill-in from WifeofaSailor??

Tell us about your dream job… one that you could do regardless of pay.
Army psychologist working with Army families. There just isnt enough support out there for the families, spouses and children. I want to help. I would take Rigel to work with me and he would be my therapy dog. He loves kids!

What is your most prized material possession (kids and pets don’t count!)?
Damn, pets dont count?? We all know I was going to say Rigel!!

Lets see, most prized possession... I'm gonna say my car. It's a 2004 Honda Pilot. Not fancy, but I love it!! I helped my mother pick it out back in 2004 HOPING that it would one day be mine. She got it as an office car and when I got married in 2007, she bought it from her company and gave it to me when Joe and I left for Kansas so we would have two cars.

What has been your favorite duty station and why?
We've only been to two, Ft. Riley, Kansas and currently at Ft. Carson, CO.

And as much as it pains me to say it, probably Ft. Riley. I have so many friends there, it was hard to leave. And I'm a small town girl. Colorado Springs is just too big. I like being able to wakl to the grocery store and have a Wal-Mart 5 minutes away. There are more things to do here, but they are all over the place. It takes at least 30 minutes to get anywhere. And I HATE driving!!!

What is your least favorite household chore?
Dusting. Hands down!! Makes me sneeze for HOURS!!

If you could give one piece of advice to a teenager today (not specifically a MilTeen), what would it be?
GO TO COLLEGE!! I dont care how many student loans you have to take out. Go to school! My father paid off his last student loan when I was 12!! But that college education is the best thing he ever did for himself and our family.

I did pet therapy with one of my Greyhounds on an oncology/general medical unit for a few years. It was fantastic.

Hey, I didn't see your link on Mr. Linky... don't forget to put it up there so that others can find your blog!
