Week 11

Another uneventful week.

I will be subbing at work all of this week and next week. Cool people and good money. It could be worse. I'm learning a lot. Finally don't feel completely out of the loop. And it's a fairly casual place to work. Where I worked in Kansas, it felt like we were always being watched and critiqued. Even if there wasn't anything to do, we had to look busy. It was a school, and there wasn't always a whole lot going on. But even small breaks weren't allowed. Our supervisor was cool, but the principal was not. At all. But at the Ed Center, we do all of the work we can do in a given day, even start going through the old files. And you can take a break to get a drink, or use the restroom, or grab a snack without feeling like you're being watched. It's almost as if we were... adults!! Whoa! LOL! I really like it there.

As for the deployment, all of the days are just running into one another. Yesterday was a lot like today, today will be fairly similar to tomorrow. Now that I have somewhere to be during the day, it's sad not coming home to Joe. Before he left, when Joe was on his way home, he would text me and let me know. Joe was on Yahoo IM with me as I left work and I typed - On my way home - as I walked to my car. It made me so sad. I miss Joe. But... 11 weeks in! That's definitely something, right? It doesn't seem like it's been that long really.

Tell me something, why are there so many stupid shows about New Jersey now? They are stupid. The people in them are stupid. Does the American public really care about some random salon in New Jersey? If we can have a show about New Jersey, how about a show about Arkansas? We'll call it Arkansas Humidity. It will be about the bugs, muddin', cruisin', and getting kicked out of hanging out at the Wal-Mart until they close at 9pm. I can't believe people really want to promote the stereotypes in these New Jersey shows. Are we all supposed to believe that the entire state is full of these ignorant partiers? These shouldn't be the kind of people we need to promote on television. I saw a small piece of a show called TMZ last night. They are paparazzi or something. They were talking to the short stupid girl from Jersey Shore. They asked her what she thought about the oil spill. Her response? "I dont even use tanning oil." Brilliant. How stupid does one have to be to misunderstand that question?? I dont know why these shows annoy me so much. There is a lot of crap on TV. But at that rate, there are many shows that annoy me, such as Drop Dead Diva and 16 and Pregnant. As parents, how do you let them film your 16 year old pregnant daughter and her white trash boyfriend??? Real winners.

LOL, okay, sorry, I'll stop now. I just had to get that off my chest.

Name your favorite stupid shows!

Congrats on the 11 weeks. It seems like the weeks keep going faster and faster - at least they seem that way for me.

And I don't watch stupid TV shows - that's why I canceled cable as soon as my husband left. Not only do I not have to pay the bill but I'm not subjected to those stupid shows :-)

well you already know one of my top 5 stupid shows but I don't want to cause controversy LOL

Mostly any of the "reality shows" I just can't stand.

I had the exact same thought about all the New Jersey shows! Funny. As someone who was born in and whose whole family is from New Jersey I can tell you that the people there, for the most part, are NOTHING like the idiots on those shows. Most of those people are actually from Philly living in Jersey (at least the one's from Jersey Shore). I refuse to watch them for fear of losing brain cells.
